Owner + Designer

Caitlin Hicks

I fell into jewelry in the summer of 2006, almost by accident. Fresh out of college, I took a job at a small, family owned jewelry store thinking it would be a creative stop along the way. Then I watched a sketch turn into a finished piece, metal and stone becoming something permanent, personal, and powerful. I was hooked.

I’m Caitlin Hicks. A Midwest girl. A farmer’s daughter. A wife, a mom to Vivian and Teddy, an avid dog lover, (you’ll see many images in my shop with Oatie, my mini golden doodle who has a love / hate relationship with coming to work with me.) Murphy, who is a stealthy black Standard Poodle who is wise beyond his years, and so much like a human we often check for zippers. I’m also a gemologist, designer, and jewelry expert with twenty years in the industry. I’ve worked alongside master goldsmiths, diamond dealers, and CAD artists, learning every side of this business from the ground up. Design, sourcing, construction, longevity, value. I know what lasts and what doesn’t, and I don’t cut corners.

I specialize in custom design, heirloom redesign, and highly personal curation. My work is for clients who care deeply about quality, story, and intention. Pieces that move effortlessly from day to night. Jewelry that feels natural in your life, not precious saved in a box. Nothing trendy for the sake of trend. Everything considered.

My aesthetic lives at the intersection of classic and edgy. I love strong geometry, diamonds that feel confident not expected, colored stones with depth, and estate jewelry that carries history. My designs are meant to be worn often, stacked freely, layered with pieces you already love, and lived in. Jeans, t shirt, grocery store. No special occasion required.

Every piece I create is designed with longevity in mind. In style, in structure, and in meaning. I believe true luxury is quiet confidence, impeccable craftsmanship, and a process that feels thoughtful from start to finish.

I’m known for clear communication, honesty, and a deeply personal approach. I work closely with my clients, intentionally and by appointment, because this process deserves time and focus. It’s a privilege to be trusted with your stories, your milestones, and your most meaningful pieces. Helping you design jewelry that reflects who you are is the best part of what I do.

Caitlin

Assistant Designer

Skyler Frye

Skyler is often the first friendly face you’ll see at Caitlin Hicks Design and the calm voice helping things click into place behind the scenes. She joined the studio because she loved that this isn’t a traditional jewelry store. It’s thoughtful, intentional, and centered around real people and real stories.

She’s naturally curious and loves learning how jewelry comes together, from exploring design options to helping guide clients through repairs and semi custom projects. Skyler is a details person in the best way. She enjoys organizing the moving pieces, asking good questions, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
